What does it mean to turn a word?

Simply, it means to interpret it in another way that was intended.

How do you know which way was intended?

You don't.

Hence, the meaning and interpretation of any word, phrase, sentence, paragraph, book, or even blog, is entirely up to you, the reader.

Words can elicit such extreme emotions in the reader that are sometimes irrational. Their effect on us are determined by the state of mind we possess while reading and comprehending them. They in fact, turn your thoughts into something more or something less. Words can numb or heighten sorrow, joy, relief, and the rest of the emotions on the vast and seemingly never-ending spectrum that is the human being.
